It has always been rumoured, but never confirmed, that Devil May Cry would have been released also on Xbox 360. Today, Capcom has officially stated it.

Hence, following its new policy, the famous software house has confirmed that one of its greatest franchises, previously flag of the PlayStation brand, has become multi-platform (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC).

The real reasons behind this decision are not, however, really clear but certainly the great successes of Lost Planet and Dead Rising have helped as well as the impossibility for Sony to place a suitable number of PS3 in the market in order to allow Capcom to replicate the 7 millions copies of Devil May Cry sold.

Can this last statement be a clue on the game release date (which has not been announced)? It's hard to say, but what is certain is that the title will arrive contemporarily on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 - probably delaying on PCs.
